We left the house at 10 a.m. as planned and met Greg and Ethan at 11 at Pearson. Two hour wait at Pearson, one hour flight to Washington, walk half a mile to the airport subway, ten minute high speed ride to terminal B, two hour wait, 7-1/2 hour flight to Dakar, Senegal, an hour on the tarmac to refuel, 7-1/2 hour flight to Johannesburg, twenty minute taxi to our (classy) suite. Finally stopped for a drink (hot chocolate for Ethan - South African beer/wine for the old folks) after 6 p.m. local time (noon EST)22 hours after takeoff.
Tomorrow we head to Kruger.
